Up Next…

March 5-8, 2026

This week we’re heading to RADfest – the Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Festival 2026! Out of more than 250 applicants, over 60 artists applied specifically for the Alternative Space series and Wild Space is one of only TWO selected. It’s an extraordinary honor, and we’re thrilled to bring Milwaukee’s voice to this national stage.

At the 17th annual RADfest, Wild Space will join dance companies and artists from across the country in a highly competitive, juried festival that showcases some of the most innovative work in modern, post‑modern, and contemporary dance.

We’re honored to represent Milwaukee at this festival, joining forward-thinking artists from across the country for a weekend of performance, dialogue, and creative exchange. This selection highlights the national impact of the work we’re building right here at home, and we’re grateful for the community that makes it possible.

Thank you for supporting us as we take Wild Space to RADfest!

Beyond the Shimmer

April 10-11, 2026

Step into a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. This dance theatre work uses the vastness of outer space as a metaphor to explore distance, connection, and possibility, immersing audiences in a dazzling, multi-sensory experience of bold movement, evocative text, and stunning imagery. The evening also features a new solo for Artistic Director Dan Schuchart crafted by guest artist Alexandra Barbier for her ongoing project, few things ahead of time, in which a 48-hour creative process yields adventitious choices, inventive tactics, and unexpected outcomes. Join us at the beautiful Jan Serr Studio, where the Milwaukee skyline becomes our backdrop and the evening emerges in a luminous shimmer.

Read the Reviews…

“it’s a tour-de-force of creative, technical, and logistic imagination: the most daring and original adventure in the performing arts our city has seen in years. And like all good art, it stirs up many thoughts. feelings and senses, which will not necessarily be the same for any two people.”

Play on Milwaukee

“While the choreography itself showcased some serious feats of agility and strength, the message was clear: even as we grow older—especially as we do—we should not let go of our childlike wonder and curiosity when interacting with Nature.”

Shepherd Express

“Dancing in nature highlights the connection between humans and the Earth. For me, as a spectator and nature-lover, the experience is as spiritual as it is aesthetic. Furthermore, dancing in an urban park like Havenwoods State Forest celebrates not only the human-nature connection, but also the paradoxical connection and interaction between civilization and wilderness. That’s what I loved about InSite: Field Guide…”
